History
- Company commenced its transport activities in 1992.
- In 1996, after reorganisation on the private capital base there was established a joint-stock company "Vlantana". Fifteen trucks were on the run while 20 people were employed in the company.
- In 2010 there are working over 420 employees and fleet consists of 250 own trucks and 400 semi-trailers.
- 2010 a commencement of a new logistics center nearby Klaipeda.
“Vlantana” is a member of National Lithuanian Road Carriers Association „Linava“.
For more than eighteen years, “Vlantana” has proved the performance of qualified and reliable service of cargo deliveries. These features have made the company known in Lithuania and far beyond in East and West Europe.
Headquarter and Fleet of Vehicles
Administration
- Company is located in the Western part of Lithuania, village Gobergiškės, about 10 km away from harbour Klaipėda on a privately owned plot of 100.000 sq.m.
- “Vlantana” company employs over 600 people: administration sector employees, drivers and mechanics. Working climate - informal and cordial.
Transport Vehicles
Fleet of vehicles consists of own trucks (year 2005-2012):
- 550 SCANIA, VOLVO and MERCEDES-BENZ trucks;
- 500 refrigerated semi-trailers;
- 50 Huckepack refrigerated semi-trailers;
- 50 Huckepack curtain side semi-trailers;
- 50 tilt semi-trailers (96m3);
- 10 mega semi-trailers (100m3);
Each year trucks and trailers are being renewed by selling old and buying new ones.
All transport vehicles meet the international requirements of EURO 3 and EURO 5 certificates.
Refrigerated semi-trailers are equipped with three-axles and have internal dimensions:
- capacity of 33 Euro pallets;
- 13,40 m length;
- 2,65 m height;
- 2,49 m width;
- loading capacity of more than 88 m3.
In 2009 our fleet was reniewed with 20 brand new trailers with hooks specilized for hanging meat transportation.
Our transport vehicles have EU permissions as well as company disposes ETMK (CEMT) permissions.
